Code of Ethics

 

Dragonfly Arts & Wellness Center, LLC shall:

 

  • Provide the highest quality massage therapy and serve the best interests to those who seek their professional services.

 

  • Respect each client’s right to privacy and confidentiality.

 

  • Acknowledge individuals’ inherent worth by not discriminating or behaving in any prejudicial manner with clients and/or colleagues.

 

  • Conduct all business activities within their scope of practice and the law.

 

  • Accept responsibility to do no harm to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of self, client, and associates.

 

  • Refrain from engaging in or tolerating any sexual conduct involving their clients.

 

  • Respect the rights of all ethical practitioners and cooperate with all healthcare professionals in a friendly and professional manner.

 

 

 

Standards of Practice

 

Dragonfly Arts & Wellness Center, LLC will adhere to stated ethical standards and perform only those services that are sanctioned within the scope of our practice, as defined by the profession in the state of Connecticut and by Connecticut state law.

 

The Dragonfly Arts & Wellness Center, LLC standards of practice shall:

 

  • Provide safe and consistent quality care to all clients.
  • Support and preserve the basic rights of the client and professional massage therapist.
  • Assist the public to understand what to expect from a professional massage therapist and massage therapy practice.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety for both client and therapist.
  • Maintain appropriate professional standards of confidentiality
  • Refer clients to other professionals only in the best interest of the client.
  • Maintain appropriated client records.
  • Market the practice in an accurate, truthful, and ethical manner.
  • Operate business in a manner that is in compliance with national, state, or local municipal laws pertaining to the practice of professional massage therapy.
