3-10-07    Time is just flying by!  For those of you returning to our site you can see that there have been some changes.  For the better I hope.  Business is picking up week by week so we are all very excited about that!  In the spring we will be rolling our some spa treatments so we are hard at work on those ideas as well.  Viva la Dragonfly!

 

    1-10-07 Happy New Year everyone!  Let's hope 2007 brings happiness, prosperity, and good health to us all.

    2006 was a year with may ups and down for me and I am looking forward to many exciting things to come as Dragonfly grows.

Speaking of exciting things I am working up an event with my new friend and best selling author Kathryn Smith.  Her new book in coming out at the end of January so we will be holding a book signing at Dragonfly!  We will be doing free chair massage and holding a raffle.  Look on our Events page for all the information!

12-9-06    Ah the holidays!  Yesterday my friend the Amazing Mike Miller and I went down to NYC to investigate the scene.  It seemed like people from all adjoining states were all in mid town doing their shopping.  Sure it was crowded but that was for the best.  Without all that body heat the temperature might have been below zero instead of being 10 degrees!  That's brisk baby!  But despite a little frost bite we enjoyed our day.  We saw a woman with the worlds biggest glasses!  And a man with worlds greatest amount of ear hair (very special)!

12-2-06    Last night we were featured at a craft fair called Ladies Night Out which was held a St. Mary Church right here in Middletown.  It was a fun event.  We did chair massage and sold some crafts.  We were hoping for a bigger turn out but apparently there was a tornado watch in the area.  Come on people!  Are you going to be afraid of a little tornado?  It worked out for Dorothy didn't it?!  She got some rocking new shoes, great new friends, and had the adventure of a life time!

11-26-06    Well, our Trunk Sale wasn’t that successful but that’s alright.  We have many more events to come!  We are doing a fund raising event called Ladies Night Out which is being held at St. Mary’s School in Middletown on the 1^st so that should give us some more business.

 

And then it’s on to our Grand Opening.  Before that happens I am planning all sorts of press releases and advertising.  Discounts and other incentives will be passed out to everyone who walks through our door!

11-10-06    So, I'm trying to set up a My Space web page and I have to say that building this whole site was way easier!  I still don't have a clue as to how to set a background!  Maybe I'll just stick with this one!

Anyway...we are getting ready for our Trunk Sale next Saturday.  That includes adding some things to the site as well as the office.  My goal is to get curtains up by then.  I'm also on the look out for local artists who want to sell their paintings!  Stay tuned!!!

11-4-06    Well, the door of Dragonfly Arts & Wellness Center, LLC are finally open and clients are starting to come in.  It's a very exciting time for me and the other therapists.  Exciting and stressful.  This is such a new venture it's hard to say what direction things will eventually go in. 

Massage Therapy is my passion along with art so one the Massage portion of the business is established I have high hopes that the arts and crafts part will begin to grow as well. 

I'm getting feedback from clients as to what they hope to see offer at Dragonfly and Belly Dancing is high on the list.  Even though Erica Moreland is no longer a partner in the business I hope that she will feel needed enough to have dace classes a few times a month for belly dance beginners (like me!).  Erica, if you read this, you are wanted girlfriend! ;)

Dragonfly has just hooked up with Creative Accessories by Tammy and we will be selling her fantastic jewelry at Dragonfly.  We will be having a Trunk Sale the weekend before Thanksgiving to feature her jewelry.  Come on down and check it out!  It's been selling like hotcakes! (What are hot cakes anyway?)
